Where to stay
Bath, as you would expect, has a great deal of accommodation on offer. This ranges from the Bath Youth Hostel and YMCA right up to world-class luxury hotels.
Self Catering
A few suggestions:
Saco Serviced Apartments.
The Admirals House.
Marie Got’s Townhouse and Emma Goodhart’s Townhouse.
Fountain House.
Bed and Breakfasts
Most of these are listed in the very comprehensive Bed and Breakfast in Bath website. There are some truly excellent upmarket places to stay, such as Paradise House and Apsley House, as well as comfortable but more affordable B & B's such as Dene Villa and Astor House.
Hotels
There is a huge choice. A small selection follows in rough order of price:

Travelodge Bath Central - Next door to Wagamama
Travelodge Bath Waterside - Has parking, and within walking distance of the city centre
Halcyon Hotel - Opens Feb 11, 2010
Holiday Inn Express - Has parking, but a 10 minute walk into town
Barcelo Premium Combe Grove Manor - A short taxi ride from Bath
Best Western Cliffe Hotel - A few miles outside the City
Mercure Francis Hotel Bath - Big hotel on Queen Square
Best Western Abbey Hotel - Central, and handy for the Railway Station
Hilton Bath City - 156 room central hotel built over a car park
Macdonald Bath Spa - Posh hotel (you can have your own butler) set in its own grounds
Royal Crescent Hotel - World class hotel in an incredible location
